Described as 'Bewitching and Sublime' Independent artist Kev Howell has been perfecting his own blend of alternative rock, which has featured on BBC Introducing and Amazing radio in the UK & US. In 2018, His debut album 'Haunting Ambition' made the nominations for the Scottish Album of the Year ( SAY) Awards. The album was hailed as smokey poetry laced with 60's psychedelic, infectious riffs and dreamy melodies. The album gained him a few early support slots with artists, including Danny Bryant, Ben Ottewell, John Power, The Glorious Sons. In 2020, Kev began writing songs for a follow-up album, which has been delayed due to the pandemic. One of the first tracks to be released was Arrows. The song showed a new approach to Kev's songwriting and his expressive guitar skills. Written about the ongoing mental health issues facing many across the planet on a daily basis, the song drew heavily on a southern rock vibe while making the point 'you are not alone'. It was highlighted as an instant favourite and engaged with fans old and new from all over the world.
